ACI Service: Floor Planning

What is a Floorplan?

A floorplan is a two-dimensional representation of a space, showing the layout of the walls, furniture, and other fixtures. It is an essential tool for interior designers, as it allows them to visualize the space and plan the design accordingly.

Floorplans can be created manually or using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Manual floorplans are created by measuring the space and drawing the layout on paper. CAD floorplans are created using software that allows the designer to input the dimensions of the space and then create a virtual model.

How We Use CAD to Create Floorplans

A.Clore Interiors designers use CAD software to create floorplans for our clients. This allows us to create accurate and detailed plans that can be easily modified. We also use CAD software to create multiple plans for each space, so that our clients can choose the one that best meets their needs.

When creating a floorplan, we first measure the space and input the dimensions into the CAD software. We then add the walls, furniture, and other fixtures to the plan. We also add notes to the plan to indicate the function of each area.

Once the floorplan is complete, we can easily modify it to accommodate changes in the client's needs. We can also create different views of the plan, such as a top view or a perspective view.

The Benefits of Using CAD for Floorplanning

There are many benefits to using CAD for floorplanning. Some of the most important benefits include:

  • Accuracy: CAD floorplans are more accurate than manual floorplans, as they are created using precise measurements.

  • Flexibility: CAD floorplans can be easily modified, so that they can be adapted to changes in the client's needs.

  • Efficiency: CAD floorplans can be created quickly and easily, saving time and money.

  • Communication: CAD floorplans can be easily shared with clients, so that they can visualize the design and provide feedback.

Creating Multiple Plans for a Space

We often create multiple plans for each space, so that our clients can choose the one that best meets their needs. This is especially important for spaces that will be used for multiple purposes, such as a living room that will also be used as a home office.

When creating multiple plans, we consider the client's needs and preferences. We also consider the functionality of the space and the flow of traffic. We want to create plans that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Once we have created multiple plans, we present them to you for your feedback. We then work with you to choose the plan that you like best.
