Greenery Is The 2017 Color Of The Year!

Greenery was chosen by the color experts at Pantone for a number of reasons. It shows our mental and physical reactions to the natural world and gathers them in a symbolic color, Greenery. To say the least, this year was filled with surprises; therefore, Pantone chose a life-affirming shade. They wanted to express a sense of hope for new beginnings and a revival. It's supposed to be a reminder to slow down and take a breath every once in awhile. Get some of nature's fresh air, if you will.

Year after year, we also improve our "Going Green" campaign as a society. Being the color of the year, Greenery is supposed to remind us of the direction we're going in. It makes you want to be surrounded by nature and take in the physical beauty and unified ambiance the natural world gives off. Pantone mentions in their Color of the Year summary that Greenery is expressed in our daily lives through urban planning, architecture, lifestyle and design choices. "Greenery is now being pulled to the forefront - it is an omnipresent hue around the world."

The color green itself symbolizes harmony, prosperity, and renewal. This color was chosen for guidance to convince society to pursue personal passions and vitality. We need to restore ourselves and our personal lives after this exhausting year. Green is the color of life, fertility, and freshness. Let's keep that in mind as 2017 approaches.

We are stoked that Pantone has chosen Greenery. We can't wait to see how it's used in fashion, interior design, and every other creative outlet. This upcoming year is promising when thinking about moving forward and improving not only our designs but also our lives!
