A dining room is an essential part of the home because this is where “family time” occurs. You want it to feel inviting and cozy, yet have an elegant appeal. We have ways of giving a dining room that divine effect. Just follow our lead! We’ve got the tips and tricks you’re looking for.
The foundation of the room is obviously very important, because it affects what style you’re going for from the colors on the wall to the chandeliers to the flooring. What’s very in right now is an industrial style that has metal backbone and much wood. A wrought-iron chandelier is a great accent piece for this style. You can also try a wooden paneled dining room table with possibly bench style seating. This has a way of looking rough, but upscale all at the same time.
To give your walls a little additive that gives the room an updated look, you can install bead board around the lower part of the walls. This would work well with a mixture of styles if you really can’t decide what you would like. Which that means it’s perfect for everyone!
Want to give your dining room a glamorous touch? Change your dining room table to a marble tabletop like Emily Henderson’s dining room table shown here. It’s classy and elegant and girly and stylish and… We could go on and on. It’s beautiful and needed in every home.
We all love open floor plans, but sometimes, we can’t distinguish between each room if they’re all combined into one. We have a trick to solve this problem: use a rug to separate which items belong in which “room.” Have a dining room rug and a living room rug. It helps when the home is structured so nice and open.
Just to give a few more in style, up-to-date ideas, we are crazy for oversize lighting, bar carts instead of china cabinets, patterned accent rugs, and contrasting chairs. There are so many lovely ideas out there. It all just depends on what style you would like and what you find as inspiration for your own home. Check out a few more ideas below!
