Get the Look: Old Hollywood Glamour

There’s always been something special about the old ways and looks of Hollywood. From the pearls to the faux fur and those classic ruby red lips, what is there not to love?! For all of those who agree, we have a few ways to bring that ambiance into your home. Although a lot of old Hollywood glamour involved fashion, interior design was an important trend as well. Contrary to popular belief, what you wear and how you wear it coincides with the design of your home’s interior! As fashion and interior design collide, we have a few tips to show you how to add that special glamour of old Hollywood into your space.

Mix those metals – Whoever said metals shouldn’t be mixed hasn’t glimpsed at the magic that happens when a room is filled with gold and silver details accompanied by mirrors and crystal. The result is a beautifully opulent room!

Add a fur (or faux fur) throw – Tossed about on a chair or couch, this room accessory makes any snuggling instantly more glamorous.  (This luxury can also be in the form of a pillow or rug.)

Pick the perfect color palette – The go-to-never-fail feminine color palette tends to be camel, ivory, and soft pink. We like to also adding small bits of blue here and there (it adds depth.)

Art deco lines + plush furniture = AN OLD GLAMOUR MUST – Balance out more comfy couches and chairs with sleek, art deco pieces like tables, bar carts, coffee tables, mirrors, etc.

Set up a liquor/wine bar – Set the bar with alcohol, crystal glasses, and an ice bucket. What ALWAYS happens in every hold Hollywood movie? A cocktail making moment. *Not a cocktail fan? A lovely tea set works well too.*
