So far on the Wednesday Color Report, we’ve had toned down colors including Riverside (a cool and calming blue), Airy Blue (a soft and light blue), and Sharkskin (an edgy yet neutral gray). This week, we’re switching it up and showing off one of this year’s Fall colors that has quite a punch to it, Aurora Red.

This color adds quite a bit of personality to the Fall 2016 color palette. The color red typically can exude a multitude of feelings and expressions from feeling hungry to feeling sensual and sexy. We can see Aurora Red definitely leans on the side of sending sensual vibes with such a confident tone. The color is warm yet still energetic and dynamic. It’s immediately pleasing to the eye and can add a nice emphasis to any room or outfit. Just take a look…

We are obsessing over this color, Sharkskin. It was an amazing pick by Pantone, because this color is super edgy and has a definite “bad girl” look to it, but the color is still a gray which means it’s remaining a neutral and can still go along well with most colors. You really can pair it with almost any color. Pantone describes it as “a color that the rest of the palette can literally and theoretically rest on.” It has a very contemporary vibe to it, but is still practical and stable.

We feel as though this color is geared more towards fashion and clothing design for this fall, but sharkskin can definitely be applied to interior design as well in a very chic way. Just keep looking through these pictures!
