Trendy Storage for Coffee Mugs

We can all agree that we collect mugs and now have an over load of mugs. What can we do with all of those mugs? Let’s make some cute storage to store all of these adorable mugs we want to display! There are quite a few different ways to go about this, so we’ll show you many options…

Floating Shelves

The first idea is quite simple and has a very minimalist look if that’s your type of style. Just add in some floating shelving and boom. You’ve got yourself a sweet and simple kitchen display for your mugs!

Free-Standing Rack

If you’re primarily looking for extra storage, try finding a free-standing rack that you can place your coffee items underneath and your mugs on top of. It will be super convenient in the mornings especially since you don’t have to fish through your cabinet for your favorite mug.

Take Advantage of Spare Walls

Add a railing and/or hooks to hold your cute mugs. You can use it as a decorative all piece and won’t even have to buy kitchen art! To turn it into art even more, space it out in a creative way. Almost treat your mugs as if they’re pieces of art on a gallery wall in your kitchen.

Use Underbelly Hooks

Attach hooks onto the bottom-side of your cabinets for extra storage. They will all look cute hanging and you can add or take away as many hooks as you’d like so that they can all fit.

Laundry Room Updating Essentials

Every room needs an update every once in awhile, and let’s just be honest with ourselves, our laundry room is always the last room to be updated. Not to fear though! You’ll love updating your laundry room with our fun, trendy ideas!

Paint

The best way to really make a difference in any room is by painting. Different paint colors give off different vibes causing the look and feel of the room to transform. It’s also pretty much the most inexpensive way to change up a room. In a laundry room, we personally think the best way to go with paint is a very light blue-green color, such as Sea Foam by Benjamin Moore or Copen Blue by Sherwin Williams.

Storage

We all know storage is absolutely vital in a laundry room, and sometimes even though we have so much room, it still isn’t enough! If there’s an empty wall or a wall with artwork you don’t care for much anymore, bring down the artwork and add shelving there. You’ll be surprised at how much space it really opens up for you to use.

Staining the Floor

If you have a basement laundry room, lots of the time, it has a cold concrete floor. Not only is it cold and uncomfortable, but it also darkens the room. Go ahead and paint over the concrete or stain it and add a rug to help out with the comfy aspect. It will be much easier on your feet and your eyes! Check out our post about staining concrete to make it easier on you.

Sock Finder

Everyone is aware that all washer and dryers eat socks. No one knows where they go. They just disappear, but not anymore! We have two ways to solve this problem. You can make a sock jar and put all socks that lose their friends in a jar. At the end of laundry day, dump it out on the counter and find the matches. The other way to can solve this problem is by making a cute “Sock Finder” line that hangs in your laundry room, and you can clothes pin all the lost socks to it until you find their other half. You’ll never lose a pair again!

Lint Can

Accompanying your trashcan in your laundry room, you should have a lint can. What is a lint can, you might ask. It’s pretty self-explanatory; it’s a can that holds lint. Here’s the catch, though. You can use an outdoor box and hang it up right next to the dryer. You just empty it at the end of laundry day, and voila!

Detergent Dispenser

This idea we actually found and think it’s completely genius! We all know it’s annoying to lift the detergent jug all the time, and it tends to get on the side and can be messy. Instead, pour the detergent in a beverage dispenser. You don’t have to move it anymore and it just pours out with the lift of a small handle. The best part: you can do it with your softener, too!

Hopefully, you will enjoy one of these ideas that will give your laundry room a new look and feel. Our last tip: any change in décor may work as well!
