Day 10 & 11: Elle Magazine

This weekend, we give thanks to the ever so informative and entertaining ELLE MAGAZINE!! Hundreds of familiar faces have graced the front page of this prestigious magazine and thousands of articles written that inform and intrigue women all over the world.

(Needless to say, we will always snag any mag with the beautiful, Britney Spears, on the cover.)

The largest fashion magazine in the world, Elle captures millions of readers with a monthly publication of design, fashion, health, beauty and entertainment.

And if your fabulous french tipped manicure has not skimmed the pages of this little bound book of genius....

Well then, my dears, Im afraid you deserve and arraignment!!

But have no fear, A.Clore is here -- to look back on one of our favorite celebrity homes this year....

Reece Witherspoon's Ojai, CA spanish ranch-style home designed by Kristen Buckingham.

We absolutely love the mixture 19th century decor and the snippets of nature in this design. Buckingham used both high-end custom pieces and inexpensive ready made elements to achieve and sense of comfortable elegance. She then brought in natural elements like an end table from an apple tree stump and a natural jute rug to achieve perfect harmony.

These rooms are a perfect example of how to make a child's space personalized yet still stylish and functional.

The tucked away beds were an original design element to the house, however they create a great focal point to the room and still provide plenty of space for functional design.

Our favorite feature of Reece's home is her outdoor terrace. We love the antique hanging lantern and mix-matched iron and wicker furniture. Its just breathtaking how the vibrant and lush greenery above head creates a perfect canopy.

We think Kristen did an amazing job with combining the original architecture and style of the home with the sense of comfortable elegance that Reece exudes. Design Well done!

Thanks for stopping by this weekend!! Looking forward to another Grateful and Thankful week of design here at A.Clore Interiors!!!
