Kitchen Update for a Luminous Cooking Space
The kitchen is a still a gathering room even if it isn't the primary one as we're sure you've noticed. We always want the kitchen to look pristine, but our main goal is to keep it light, fresh, and airy. We have some tips and tricks on how to achieve this feeling in your kitchen...
Clean Up Your Sink
Source
The sink can sometimes provide the room with odors that aren't so pleasant and that we try to stay away from. There's a trick to maintaining your drain to help with the smell. Try mixing 1/2 cup of baking soda with 1/4 cup of table salt and pour it down the drain. Immediately after, pour 1 cup of heated vinegar down the drain as well. Let the combination work its magic for about 15 minutes and then run hot water for about 30 seconds to rinse it out. This should effectively clean your drain and keep it from providing any odor in your kitchen.
Take In New Textiles

Switch out your old tablecloth with an easy, light new old. This is your kitchen table's easiest change up causing a dramatic difference. Try and accompany your tablecloth with linen runners and placemats. Find some light, casual napkins to top of your new, fresh feel that makes your kitchen so much more welcoming.
De-Clutter Your Countertops
Source
By cleaning off your counter tops, you can make your kitchen look so much more open and spacious. When it's cluttered, you feel like it is too small and you can't move around efficiently. Decluttering makes cooking so much easier. Try and find places for everything in cabinets and such instead of keeping so many canisters and appliances on the counter.
