same day loans Take a step outside, like what you see?!
As we welcome the second week of May, here at A.Clore Interiors we notice it's about that time of year where the sun is shining and the coals are hot! Cinco De Mayo is nothing but a memory now so we turn our focus to a summer filled with backyard BBQ's!! Now we know the name says "Interiors" but it is important to remember that in 2013 blurring the line between indoors and outdoors is ideal. So here are a few design tips to keep in mind for the next time your walking around your local Lowe's or Home Depot.
#1: Add Lighting
By adding light to your patio you increase the amount of time you are able to enjoy your new space. You should keep in mind where guests will be after dark in order to illuminate key spots. Below you can see that by just adding a little light you can change the feeling of your space drastically!!
#2: Consider PrivacyThis is important, everyone wants a place to retreat and relax without worrying about your neighbors sneaking a peek. This can be achieved with illuminated screens, wooden screens, tall bushes, or even draperies !
#3: Use Color and Play with Patterns
Outdoors is a great place to have fun with colors and patterns without worrying about being "too loud or too bold". You can brighten any space with upholstery, pillows, accessories, or even flowers!!
#4: Add Texture
By mixing textures like stone, wood, and concrete are pretty typical for many patio designs and is very important but by adding a rug and plants you can make your outdoors warm and inviting!
#5: Add a Water Feature
Not only does this add visual interest to your backyard but, it can also be very soothing.
#6: Add a Fan
Being in Florida, the sunshine state, people tend to gather in the shady areas. While the shade keeps the sun away it also blocks the summer breeze. A fan will circulate the air around so you and your guests can keep cool even when the sun goes down and that humidity rises. Take a look at a few different styles.
#7: Add a Fire Pit
Fit pits are great because their are a variety of styles and layouts to chose from. Also most of the fire pits pictured below are a weekend do it yourself projects!! Great for conversational seating, s'more making, and entertainment for all ages!
What are your summer plans this year?! Wether you're planning on reuniting with family, getting together with old friends, or looking to make some new ones, we hope you're enjoying the great outdoors!! Test out some of these tips and send us the before and after photos of your patio.
